South African Airways extends its African flight schedule : The airline announced that in the most recent change it will be increasing the Johannesburg-Lagos route to eight frequencies per week, effective 1 August. Africa routes on which frequencies were recently increased include:

  • Johannesburg – Harare (18 to 19 per week);
  • Johannesburg – Lusaka (20 to 21);
  • Johannesburg-Abidjan (from two to three per week);
  • Johannesburg–Blantyre (from two to three per week);
  • Johannesburg-Dar es Salaam (from 13 to 14 per week);
  • Johannesburg-Kinshasa (from four to six per week);
  • Johannesburg-Nairobi (from 10 to 11 per week);
  • Johannesburg-Ndola (three to four per week); and
  • Johannesburg-Windhoek (20 to 21 per week).

Baltimore riots, hotels not affected : Both Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts have said that they have not been directly affected by the on-going riots causing unrest in the US city of Baltimore, Maryland, and that all guests and staff are safe. This comes after the Governor of Maryland declared a State of Emergency on April 27 after violent demonstrations shook the city.

SAA No Show fees for South Africa and our Regional Destinations :South African Airways will be introducing No Show fees to our current fares structure between South Africa and our Regional destinations effective for all sales on/after 01 May 2015.
